As I walked through the "melting pot" better known as New York City in the area of Times Square I heard many sounds that were natural, pleasant, noisy and even obnoxious. I heard the sounds of children's happiness as they got out school to greet their parents. As I continued, I came across sounds of the food trucks sizzling which engaged my sense of smell as well. People laughing, arguing, agreeing, and even the sound of their foot steps triggered my hearing. What also really brought my attention was the many dialects spoken in this city. One block I only heard people speaking English. And then the next block there were a substantial amount of people who spoke Spanish. I also heard an Asian dialect, and two woman speaking French to each other. Down further on my sound walk I heard amateur musicians playing their music for money who were actually very good.
